Masjid Al Islam is a 501c registered non-profit organization. Currently the Masjid is under renovations, with expansion plans that would be able to cater to much larger numbers. The Muslim community of Rhode Island is rapidly growing, as evident by our lack of space during high occupancy periods, such as Ramadan and Jumah. Expanding the Masjid would also lead to greater opportunities for the overall community as plans are in place to soon offer babysitting, social and physical activities, along with spiritual programs to nurture both the youth, and adults. Masjid Al Islam aims to become a multi-purpose center catering to the needs of one and all.
Donations not used for renovations, are put to use to provide daily ramadan meals, continue our educational programs, provide communal support to congregants in need of aid, keep our Masjid clean and provided with the latest tools, books, and other necessities.
